I know it hurts.. but brush it off and dont give them the satisfaction of seeing you hurt.... they dont deserve you.. and if it makes you feel better, I actually look forward to your opinion on my post all the time.. :) sending you happy thoughts..

It's just when you think you are having an intelligent conversation about parenting ... thats what you get hit with... obviously I responded differently to said person but ya... gets you thinking sometimes... how do people see me when im just walking through the store??.. and me thinking is a bad thing. I just gotta shut down and go back to being a robot until I'm suddenly a valid person ha ha ha

A woman once berated Winston Churchill and said, "Sir, you are drunk!" His reply? "And you, Bessie, are ugly. But I shall be sober in the morning, and you will still be ugly." ... My thoughts? Feel sad for them.

Who are these horrible people? I'm so sorry you have had to interact with such imbeciles. It was extremely insightful when you wrote, "what if everyone's mistakes of all sorts hung off of them for the world to see and disect. I wonder how bad being fat would look then?" The good news is that you're not a nasty idiot, as those people are, and you don't even have one of the physical characteristics that is permanent, such as a physical deformity or unattractive face. You're a beautiful, warm, smart, wonderful woman--and super funny, which I recall you telling me was what matters!

I have to agree with everyone who posted above, they really said some great things. Being overweight does not make you less of a person. Being crass does, however, make one less of a person. Whoever made you feel that way sounds like they were very ugly. You are a wonderful person. You are full of life, kindness, and intelligence. Hugs

You can easily judge the character of a person by how they treat someone...they have no use for. Forgive that person...for your sake (and theirs). Someday (maybe) that person will realize what a fool they are...when they see what a good power of example YOU are. Every one of us is a miracle...including you Angelface. Enjoy the day and all the gifts it has. Someday your gonna wish you could come back to today. :)ps...dont worry about the jerks (its a waste of your energy and time)

It's all part of that "looking over the top of your head, beside you, or through you as if you were invisible...like you are a non-person because you are so obviously 'flawed' in their eyes." Excuse me @RyVa...I'm gonna be crass here... F#ck 'em! People can be really brutal $hits sometimes. Their loss. You AND your opinions are viable and valuable.

dave Thank you for the complement.. I know ... I really shouldn't let it get to me... just once in a while... it sneaks in and stays for a little while.... I think I was able to shake it off today.

I too have experienced the "nothingness" of being ignored when opinions are asked for, even as close as with my own family. "They" would decided where, when and how we would go places, asking all my siblings, but just telling me as it was time to get ready to go. I started staying home, figured I wasn't really in on the planning, didn't need to be in on the trip. But that turned into "out of sight, out of mind" and it took me several years to get back to being able to eat or socialize in public. Keep putting yourself out there. If they don't see you, they really will take away your power!
