Journal de Delacroix, 23 févr. 16

I've signed up for some thyroid tests. There's probably nothing there, but I feel I need to look into it as a possible explanation for my weight loss resistance.

Good for you - go to a specialist if you are able - an endocrinologist will do a more thorough test if the firsts test show nothing.

Make sure they give you a "thyroid panel." The standard blood test just checks for TSH which can be normal even if your thyroid is malfunctioning.

I don't know about where you are, but it is a several month wait here to see an endocrinologist.

Good Luck. My thyroid got all messed up when I was pregnant with my youngest son (He's 14 now). It's been screwed up ever since. Even though I am on meds it doesn't seem to help and I've been to all kinds of specialists and they can't figure out why. I hope you have much better luck!

Thyroid function has a lot to do with how well you tolerate carbs in your diet. Even those on meds usually have to reduce carbs significantly to make much progress.
