Dieting can be very hard for people who have medical issues. I have angina and have to take a pill every day that causes fluid retention. I have kidney disease and have been on a diuretic for years so this doesn't help all that much. Add in that I am being treated for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and several herniated discs and it makes it very hard to figure out what to do. I also have a husband who is diabetic and he is struggling with weight issues and keeping his sugar under control. Thus I do most all my own cooking. This site will help because I can input recipes and then know more what to add as a calorie count. I am not trying to get back to my 110 lb self, just want to be carrying a lot less weight on this already struggling back. Doing a food journal is the only way I have ever successfully lost weight, so I am here, trying hard to set a limit on my caloric intake of 1400 calories. I'm sure there will be days I go over that and days I don't get the exercise I need, but I am trying to hold myself accountable. I do believe I can do all things with God's help. Glad you are here! I agree losing weight is tough, but when you add to the mix the medical maze it is very arduous! That is one of my favorite saying, I can to all things with God's help!
