Today no weight loss and I ate the wrong things and even went over the 1700 calorie limit I had set for myself. Did spend about 4 hours with my feet up to help with swelling. Will try harder tomorrow to eat better and less. Hopefully I haven't undone any progress. Guess the scale will tell tomorrow. Each day is another opportunity, so I won't be discouraged.

Using any compression stockings?

Have not tried compression stockings. Will speak with my doctors. Yes, slow and steady is all I'm going for! Thanks for the encouragement!

Do a quick Google on compression leggings, also look on Amazon. I eat them on leg days at the gym, distance runners live them, pro cyclists use them at the end of every day. They fit from ankle to knee and compress the lower leg keeping blood and fluids from polling, thereby reducing swelling, essentially the same thing you're trying to do with elevating your legs.

The leggings help prevent the pooling to begin with. I gave my extra pair to a friends Dad 3 weeks after heart surgey on their trip to Disney (16hr drive) As he was going to be in the car hours between stops, we wanted to make sure his BP stay elevated and fluid pooling in the lower limbs was minimal. They worked great. They're cheap...comfortable to wear, just like tight socks without the feet.
