Happy July 4th all my American friends!!
It was an amazing weekend for the Canada Day long weekend. I ate so much! It was also my DH b-day on Saturday so I baked him an Oreo cake. So rich and dense. Good stuff. We went to the beach on Saturday and had hot dogs for lunch and hamburgers for supper and cake of course. So, today, I'm back at work and will eat better. My salad is packed and the plan is to do a workout. I think I'm at a point in my life where I would like to achieve a certain number on the scale and I'll keep trying by eating better and exercising but I will also enjoy the moment. Hopefully this will work out for me. For some reason the scale doesn't make sense these days. And for me, I know I need to be more active. I'm chained to my desk and computer and there are so many times during the day that I forget to get up and move around. I need to make more of an effort to be active in the evenings at home. It use to be that I would go over to my parents and help out with the chores but that was back when there was more cattle on the farm. Now there is just a dozen and there isn't much to do. And what there is to do, my dad can handle it and he needs to as he is a type 2 diabetic. So, that will have to be my goal to get moving more.
