ok...what a few weeks.

Its a massive gain. I decided to give up smoking and with that came instant weight gain over the last couple of weeks. Not pleasant.
Now Ive gone back to the cigs...not exactly ideal but I have a goal through consulting trainer and friends. So my plan is to get to the low 70's. ..then really give up for good. I will be happy with a weight of 75kg. I really would be ok with this.
Then if I can get to 72kg I will have a buffer zone to increase weight again as my body adjusts to no smoking.
Yes I wish it wasnt a gain.
I wish smoking was gone forever.
Planning a future without smoking is a great start.
Now I have some more weight to loose. Im on a different track than what I thought I would be on.
I want to take this slow...I want to be kind to myself. Even though I feel disappointed. 😕😕

Hey Jane, You have a plan and that is something to work to and a challenge that you will accept with open arms. It needs to be done to suit you. It wont be that long till you get to the point of giving up the smokes again. Sending you lots of positive energy. Jenn

Giving up smoking, the time has to be right for you. There is a QUIT ad on TV at the moment where the guy says he gave up a few times, then, he just gave up. That would be my experience, I gave up loads of times, but then one day I just finally gave up. About 15 years ago now. Still wrestling with the weight issue - there doesn't seem to be a "RIGHT TIME" to stop eating chocolate. I know you must be very disappointed with the weight, but you are still on this site, and that's a great plus.

Congratulations on your attempt at stopping smoking. Notice I said stopping and not quitting? The reason I do this is psychological, nobody likes to think of themselves as a quitter, but stopping a bad behaviour just sits so much better with your subconscious. I've now been smoke free for over 8 years after smoking for over 30 years. And yes I've put on weight, but for me it was more important to stop smoking than it was to lose weight, but you know yourself best. I know you will accomplish both the weight loss and the cessation of the smokes. I have faith in you.
