Day 2. My apple fast went swimmingly. I'm surprised at how good I felt after such a short time. I went from 1 a.m. yesterday morning to 9:30 a.m. this morning, nothing but apples and rivers of water. I feel really good today!
I'm going to return to the path that brought me from 188 to 155 pounds in such short order. Here's how I did that: - Rice cakes and apples at my desk for snacking - Turkey wrap for lunch (just turkey, tomato, romaine lettuce, spinach pita) - Gummy multivitamins at my desk for a sweet and beneficial after-lunch dessert - Light dinner (home): One portion of whatever's going, and eventually get grilling - Light dinner (out): Go for a grilled, unbready, unpasta-y option - Wine spritzers instead of wine - Walk 10K steps daily without fail - Start going for walk/runs in the early evening; work up to runs - Take a strength training class, May-August It worked before, it'll work again. And once I get into the rhythm of it, it's actually easy.
So - off and running. Well, walking. But eventually running!
