Here I go again.

Recent barriers to weight loss:

1. I think I am cute! When I look at myself I don't see that I am THAT chubby. However... take a picture of me or shoot an unexpected video clip and I am shocked at what I see.

2. I picked up extra work so the more I sit on my butt and get paid extra bucks the less exercise I get!

3. I have been doing a lot of "convenience eating". Subway has healthy options, but I don't pick those! I get buffalo chicken smothered in ranch dressing (even though I say "a little" they pour it on there)!

4. Lack of motivation.

Steps I have taken to get on the right track:

1. Rekindled my relationship with this site which includes me...
a. counting calories
b. being more aware of portion sizes
c. incorporating more "variety" into my diet (ew veggies!)

2. Bought a kick-ass elliptical machine!!! It is truly my favorite form of indoor cardio- it WILL be used!!!

My plan is pretty simple- workout, eat better, stick to it.
I am in a wedding in August. I was a beast in last year's wedding, this year I hope to be a more toned beast :)
I will journal daily. Period. No excuses. The accountability of that helps a bit.

I just joined but I can already tell this site is going to help me with portion size. I actually had a piece of a brownie but it wasn't an option when I typed it in so I just left it out. If I eat bad (like last night I had a gyro) it is kinda embarrassing to enter it in here lol. Hope this site helps us stay motivated!

Your #1 barrier happens to me. I dont think I'm that big until I see a picture of me that someone else took , and I'm like OMG am i really that big ?I dont feel that big!! is that what i truly look like?? and its shocking to see how big I got, you don't realize it until you see a unexpected picture of yourself ....

I think it's a good thing that you think you're cute. My brain has never told me that and I wish it did. I really think that if you think you're cute others will too, because you're more confident. Soon enough if you keep working at it, that will turn into, "I think I'm cute, but take a picture of me and I look HOT!" Good luck!!
