Day 119- Another 2 lbs gone! Just for kicks I calculated my BMI- Start 119 days ago= 36.3, today = 31.6, almost a 5 point change, but I am still obese by their standards. Anyway, I thought I was gonna hit a wall, but a few days on the road and I was able to shed 2lbs. I have 4 days on the road this coming week and then off to Hartford, CT for a few days of DMB concerts over the weekend, I can’t wait! Hope the weather is good.
So I am just about done watching the HBO ‘The Weight of the Nation’, it really has opened my eyes to a lot of things you don’t realize is going on. I knew about a lot of the stuff but the behind closed doors stuff is very interesting. When are we as a nation going to say enough is enough? Also, it has me wondering when are we going to see a major chain that serves REAL (unprocessed) food all the time? Subway just sells low cal food, but a lot of it is still processed. They also serve a boatload of soda. Then I got thinking of what if there were stores that did not sell soda or processed juice? They would have a shelves and shelves of water, can you imagine that? Yes, I did learn that a lot of the so called juice products are just sugar in liquid and your body can’t use that, you need the fiber that comes with the fruit, daaaaaaaauuuuu. It seems so simple when you think about it that way. I have never been a fan of the liquid diet products, shakes, burners, etc. and it kills me every time I read about one in someone’s food journal. Like others have learned there is no easy way to lose weight, it is work and until you are ready to do this, you will fail!!!! It also has nothing to do with any of the fad diets, plan and simple they all just starve your body of one major component, and once you add that back in, you go right back up! So, if you are yoyo diet person, take a look at what you’re doing……. Again daaaaauuuuuuu moment. I know a lot of what I have typed, most already know, but again I see it on here everyday that some one does not understand how weight loss really works.
BTW, today is Real Food Day! Whole Foods has more info.
