Journal de Eringiffin, 25 mai 12

Either my keto sticks are broken or I am failing to recognize the carbs I am eating. Yesterday I ate nothing but meat and like, 4 thin slices of cucumber and the stick is barely pink. I lost a lb. between yesterday and today, though. I am trying again today. If it still registers low tomorrow, I think I will order some new sticks. It's only been 3 months since I got these ones and they are supposed to last for 6 but, *shrug*.

Erin, as Milla said, the thing about the ketostix is that it doesn't matter how dark they are...just that you are spilling ketones. A lot of times when the stick is really dark, it is an indicator of dehydration rather than a heavier ketone spill.

Thanks! I didn't know that. That is incredibly helpful. I do check in the morning but I recently upped the amount of water I am drinking so that very well may account for it.
