Today I am celebrating the fact that I've been keeping up on my daily water intake of at least 74 fl oz and that I've been able to maintain my weight since yesterday! Not gaining is good for me right now, so I'm happy! 😁 Also, yesterday, I took my daughter to sams club to pick up a couple grocery items for the house. Usually she always asks me for a slushy and I typically tell her no, but at that moment I felt like treating her. I bought her a slushy, and of course they have the pizza.... warm, gooey, cheesy, delicious looking pizza that is basically just staring at you from the warming case they keep it in at the counter. I asked my daughter if she would like a slice, to which she said no. It's so easy to refuse food when you are an 11 year old girl! I felt myself wanting that pizza, a small voice trying to reason why I should buy myself a slice.... but I drew some strength from my daughter, who simply said no. (I remember back when i could do that easily) realizing that I didn't need it, and so... I bought the girl her slushy, and walked away from that counter. For that, I feel proud. I also recognize that I use food as an outlet for moments of comfort and happiness, or as a means of socializing with family or friends. Today, I will focus on how I can transform this outlet into something healthier.
