They have more grams of carbs/oz than veggies. They aren't "bad" so much as if you eat them you don't have many carbs left over for veggies which according to Atkins should be eating more of before you add other foods. If you count them towards your 20g net c arbs, though, they shouldn't hurt. It's better than cheating.
