What I am learning from this brief journey so far is that weight loss, eating healthier and working toward a better me is filled with gray area. Nothing is simple or black and white. The scale goes up, while you think you are changing nothing...it is maddening! I believe this is the number one reason that people who are earnestly attempting to lose weight give up. There is a lot of stuff happening between the lines that doesn't make sense and unless you are patient and stick with it, you give up because it can be disheartening. I ate very clean yesterday, even exaggerating my calories as I tried to stay around 2000. Walked almost 1.5 miles and drank lots of water. Before bed, just out of curiosity, I weighed myself and I weighed almost 305lbs...that's almost 10lbs heavier than Friday morning. I woke up 7 hours later and I weighed 298....ugh! Sorry but this dog ain't quitting! I am just starting to feel better in numerous ways and want to finally see myself in a suit. It may take 2 years but I will wear a suit that doesn't describe itself as PORTLY! Let's roll...
