Growing up I've always been a fat/overweight kid. I love carbs, pasta, bread and cheese.
In college, I managed to shrink to an average kid/adult by walking 2-5+ miles/day and paying some atteention to what I ate. I'm 5'2" and my weight has fluctuated from 125#-160#+ in the past 10 years. I used to have a job that kept me very physically active and I was decent at watching what I ate... two years ago I took a job that left me more sedentary and I gained 10# very quickly and then I became pregnant. So now here I am still carrying around about 6-8# of pregnancy weight plus those 10 lbs... plus the weight I gained in grad school (15-18#!!!!) and never managed to lose..... needless to say I have some (approximately 36# of) work to do! Right now I'm planning for the long game and the short game.
GOALS!
-- 155# (my pre-pregnancy weight) by 1/1/16
-- 140# by 7/1/16 ... once I'm 140# I would like to try to train for a half marathon for spring 2017, I have an old ankle injury that I tend to make very angry when I run frequently, so I am going to need to invest in a physical trainer, maybe a physical therapist, and a nice new pair of running shoes!
-- 130# by 12/31/16... after that it'll be maintain, maintain, maintain....
