Im Kate, 30 years old. I have 2 wonderful daughters. I have been over weight all of my adult life. Before kids, I was very healthy and had a great body.
I started the South Beach diet in October of 2008. By December of 2008 I was down about 40 pounds. I was 300 pounds when I first began to diet. In March of 2009, I was down to 225 pounds, and felt AMAZING! I kept thinking "is this really this easy?". After the Bahamas cruise my friends and I went on and I didn't have a goal "place" to look forward to, the cheating came. My sister was on weight watchers and she had a "cheat night" every Friday and I thought that I could do the same. I started with that first baked potato and never stopped.
I gained back about 35 pounds in 6 months, and it has been horrible. All my skinny clothes are too tight, and I gave away all my big clothes to keep me motivated.
I decided that I am over gaining weight and ready to lose the 35 pounds and more. There is no reason for food to run my life.
I am completely motivated and ready for my new life style.
My motto - Nothing tastes as good as losing weight feels.
