Lunch meal was delish! Love me a perfectly done pan seared burger (two patties) and some dry rub ‘hot wings’ to top it off. Just about as many cals as yesterday but no ‘dozy’ feel at all today. I’m wondering if the bod doesn’t even like the ‘good’ carbs (avocado and cabbage). I’m going to cut way back on carbs (sub 5%) and see what I feel like.

Got stymied getting some stuff done so took the scoot out for a spin and stress relief. Found I am now down another size in jeans, 44 down from 48, and can see fitting 42 before to long. I have plenty of 38s that I wore at my lowest and can see myself wearing them (for the first time in a long time) sooner rather than later. Pretty damn happy about that… though I may need to get a new vest to ride in. I’m swimming in the one I have now.

Overall a good day. I hope everyone has had an equally pleasant one. Off to replan lunch mean for the next couple of days then have some iced green tea while enjoying a cigar or two on the porch.

Happy Sunday all! short OMAD experiment goes on. Been away for an hour or so and just starting to feel slightly hungry. Last meal was 20 hours ago and was expecting the hungry feeling to be much stronger. Having lunch out with son and mother (my one meal for today) in about 3ish hours. I have my plan set thanks to online menus. For me having a plan when going out to eat works real well to keep myself on track. Being a closet foodie, I can plan for the tastes I want to experience as well as how I'm going to order. I find it removes much of the anxiety of trying to stick to a given eating plan as well as the temptation to over do. Again for me this allows me to simply be 'in the moment' and enjoy those around me. Just another tool in the toolbox one can reach for as needed.

Y’all do what you need to do to keep moving forward. Even one little step takes you closer to your goal. I hope everyone has a good and relaxing Sunday!

Decided to experiment with OMAD today and tomorrow and see how it feels to pack my daily cal into goal/limit into a single midday meal. Today I made up a dish with 8oz 80/20 hamburger seasoned with garlic and red chili powder, 1/4 head cabbage (shredded) mixed with rice vinegar and black pepper , 1 avocado, 2 cups baby spinach, 3 eggs fried in the fat left over after cooking the hamburger. This, if my calculations are right, comes out to somewhere around 1200 cals.

1st observation is after two these last to months of having meals in the 300-500 cal range was… “damn, this is a <bleep> ton of food!”. Before, I wouldn’t have blinked at consuming a meal that large, but now… felt like it was too much.

2nd observation is after the meal, I had a serious attack of the naps as if I had gobbled down a large pizza on my own. I had I lot I needed to get done today (computer/desk work) and couldn’t stop dozing off, finally giving up and laying down for what turned out to be a 5 hour nap. So after a totally wasted day I’m wondering if something is the mix or the amount consumed that triggered the naps. Or was it simply my normal day in day out sleep deficit catching up with me. Between the avocado and the cabbage I ate more in carbs (around 20 net) then has been my daily norm.

Other than that, no hunger feelings almost 12 hours later so that is going well. My son and I are going to have lunch tomorrow (my one meal) with my mother and I have my meal planned there. Should be in the 1250 cal range with net carbs coming in between 8-9g. Although hamburger still is the main part of the meal, I’ll see if the slightly different food mix makes a difference in how I feel afterward.

Just all more data points and information to inform the continued work and efforts to get myself to where I want to be.

I hope everyone has has a good Saturing evening!
