Quick question to all. I'm doing the high protein, low low carb thing (seems to work for me) and was wondering if its worth considering Ketone Supplement (BHB)?
On a side note... I guess most would call my 'diet' restrictive, but to my head I haven't changed WHAT I eat very much, just changed the "delivery to mouth" system (using a fork instead of some form of bread/cracker) and am being more mindful as to how much is delivered.
Potato's though... oh golden brown, crispy fired potato's of all forms I do indeed miss thee.. :P

Making a a visually interesting, flavorful, fast meal for any plan just takes a little imagination. Sure, lots of time experimenting with spices over the years helps but it can be done.
5 slices of Great Value 97% Fat Free Ham
6 slices of Great Value Smoked Turkey Breast
large handful fresh baby spinach (2 cups?)
1 Tbls MCT oil
3 Tbls New Mexico Hatch Red Chili Powder
Garlic powder to taste.
splash of water
Dice the ham and turkey slices and toss into pan with MCT oil. Fry up and get sizzling for a couple of minutes. Add chili powder, garlic, splash of water then fry for a couple minutes more stirring until chili is mixed well with the water and well distributed over all the meat. Toss in spinach, stirring around until leaves are nicely wilted but still a good green. Toss in a bowl and sit down to enjoy. could serve two but I was hungry after a chilly, two hour ride on the bike.

Don't own a scale, was planning to weigh in at Wallyworld but of course the bleeping machine there was not working. So after cruising around on the motorcycle (great feeling being back up on two wheels the the knees in the breeze) pulled into Bed Batch and Beyond... 'tested' multiple scales with readings from 349 to 346 so recording a conservative 348.
Feeling good and a little progress in the number is just a bonus.

Hmmm Second try at making this post..
4 weeks in and I am finding that I have been able to reduce my daily calorie intake without feeling deprived in any way. I started out making a daily intake 'limit' of 2200 calories. I then lowered it to 1800, then again to 1500, now to 1300 and I am able to eat below that level with out being hungry (except for the days when my meeting schedule is such that I don't get to break for 'lunch' until 2 or 3pm).
I am aware I should be eating closer to the 1300 mark but for now I will let it ride as is since I am feeling good. I will find out tomorrow if this has had any impact on the scale. but if not no big deal, I feel better now than I have in a long while and that is what matters to me at this point.
BTW... Chick-fil-a 12 piece grilled chicken 'nuggets' FTW if you are pressing for time and need so fast high protein yumminess.

A co-worker commented today that I was looking 'healthier' and 'smaller' :D :D A small thing but a boost to moral none the less. Made me remember 'lessons learned' from past efforts.
1. Don't make it about the number on the scale. Make it about feeling better or healthier. Make it about being able to do more. Make it about something, anything, IMPORTANT. Numbers on a scale are not what is important in life.
2. Make a plan that fits with the way your life works and doesn't make you feel like you are depriving yourself.
3. Make little goals and celebrate success!
