I’m feeling a bit stuck at this weight. I am able to maintain with sticking to 80% my eating plan & 20% not. But I’m keen to get into the 86s. My thyroid is quite stable so I’m going to have a bit of an ‘April challenge’ for myself.
✔️try out CrossFit on Saturdays
✔️check my ketosis strips each day
✔️exercise 3x during the week Mon-Fri
✔️keep carbs under 40-50g daily
I’m also sick of pilchards 😅 so I have made myself a pork & veg curry for lunches this week and I’ll make something similar for next week. Breakfast is still eggs & veggies or coconut porridge and I have made one of my flax seed loaves.

Five years of hard work! 24 kgs lost & lots more muscle than before. Would love to lose the last 3-5kgs before the end of this year.

If you follow keto/low carb and looking for a way to keep your fibre up- I highly recommend Simple Truth flax porridge & psyllium husk. Using these two products (one is a breakfast porridge and the other is a supplement) I am keeping my fibre intake at the recommended 20-30g a day.

2023.
I had blood tests and average of every 7 weeks, and had my medication adjusted at all but one of those appointments.
My TSH ranged from:
0.02- when I had thyrotoxicosis and had to be put onto beta blockers to force my heart rate down
To 17.25 when I was so sick I was struggling to function- for weeks I had been feeling like I couldn’t drive properly. I later read a study showing that people with severely increased TSH show similar driving skills to people driving under the influence of alcohol, and I can agree.
I had months when my Hashimoto’s symptoms felt almost debilitating, even though life needs to carry on.
I continued to eat correctly during the year even when for months my weight wouldn’t shift. When I was hyperthyroid I would drop weight and then I would go hypothyroid and gain it back again.
The medication to increase my thyroid causes unpleasant symptoms.
But we carry on. I am hopeful it is settling down now even though I’m on an unconventional combination of medication and dosages.
And would love to lose the last 4-6kgs.
