Haven't journalled for awhile. Life has just gotten Super busy!! Hubby got the job we were hoping for and he starts the 28th!! :D Sooo looking for a house to rent 3hrs away from where we live now. I put in my first application for a place wednesday. And have been hoping they get through all my paperwork asap and let me know something. Spending the long weekend packing, and going over to our new town Sunday for lunch with friends, and to show hubby the house I found since he hasn't seen it yet. I'm pretty sure he'll love it, but we'll see. I've given 30 day notice to my landlord of the last 6yrs and they've given me an Excellent reference for my rental application. And since hubby starts on the 28th, we hope to be moving before Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed that I get a positive call back Monday or tuesday from the rental place!!

Food wise, I've been pretty good, but not great. This morning I had coffee, bacon and a biscuit. Probably about 350-400 calories all together. Which is pretty much breakfast and my morning snack. My day has been starting between 4am-5:45am the last several days. Waking up at that time on my own accord. And going to bed about 9-10pm each night. I haven't done any planed exercise in some time. But cleaning, packing, and traveling has kept me fairly active. It's amazing how much stuff we have built up in the last 6yrs. I think when I moved into my current place I had maybe 13 boxes of things. Now that we're moving I have probably 5-6 times that amount. O.O

Just wanted to check in and write a post about what is going on in my life. Not sure how many people keep up with me now. But want to say Thank you for caring to those who do comment on my journal, and care for me. I hope everyone has a Great Veterans Day, and a wonderful weekend.

Happy Halloween!! So actually attempting to plan meals for the day. Only issues is I have no idea what we're doing for dinner tonight since we'll be at my friend's house. So plans are to go to the lower end of my calorie range for most of my food today so no matter what we have for dinner won't make my calories jump up too much. They might want to do pizza or chinese or something. Though I'd be very happy with just a chicken salad. :P

Asparagus last night turned out Delicious! So Definitely Keeping that in circulation on my general family menu. I wanted to roast my Acorn squash today, but not enough time for it before we leave for my friend's house. :( So going to do that tomorrow for lunch I believe.

Off to get ready for our trip and to check on lunch. Hope everyone has a fun and spooky day! :D

Yesterday was eventful. A friend of mine stopped by in the morning with her new puppy. Then Hubby started work on figuring out what is up with my computer, then fixing my sink in the kitchen..it's been draining VERY slowly. Turns out that there is something wrong in the pipe further down the line, possibly collapsed or something. The landlord is working on it, so it looks like we'll be having construction and plumbing being worked on in the next two weeks here. So limited use of the Kitchen sink until they get it sorted out. -_- So spending Monday at a friends house and trick-or-treating with the kids. Then leaving Wednesday for my Mom's where I will hoping my control of my food intake won't slip. Going to take my laptop and scale with me to keep track on here with. I do better when I log daily and journal. Journaling really helps me keep my thoughts clear and sort through what I'm feeling. Also keeps me accountable.


Also tried a new recipe last night for whole baked apples. It was okay, not what I was hoping for but not bad. I cored the apples with a spoon and filled them with a mixture of brown sugar (splenda), pecans, and cinnamon. Then baked for 25mins or so. The skin was too tough on the outside of the apples, which was my main complaint. I have put on in my snacks for today, but i make take a knife and remove the skin before eating it. :P

Oh and trying asparagus for the first time tonight...going to try baking them with a little parmesan over the top of them. Found the recipe online...so hoping I like them. lol. Let me know if you love them, and your favorite way/s of cooking them. ^_^ Kinda bored with what I've been eating veggie wise and looking to branch out or find some new style for the veggies I already love.

Plans for today:

Get clothes together for Monday, and Halloween costumes.

Laundry, floors.

Family trip to the park.

And possibly visit the Haunted House in town this evening.

So back on the wagon. Stealing a line from my sister..I fell off the wagon and ran over by the back wheels..so it took a bit to recover from it. Hubby's pay finally got straightened out, so went grocery shopping and picked up all my old healthy snacks and food. Now working on portion control, and getting my protein/fat/carb ratio back to where it worked for me. Also got some hopeful news about hubby's job that he got pushed out of..so fingers crossed that he gets a call about it next week!! If that happens the move will be back on and I really hope it happens. I will be taking my 2yr old trick or treating, and my goal for that is to have No candy over the Holiday. Lots of traveling happening in the next few weeks too. Driving to my friends house for Halloween, then my parents house the weekend after, and if we get a call about that job, then looking at rental places 3hrs away from me.
