Another drop! I wasn’t going to weigh myself this week because of the gaining/bloating I get this time of month but this morning I was like “Freak it!” Glad I did. This month all I’ve done was change my eating habits a little,it’s working but I know I need more. Only exercise I did was daily moving at work, not sedentary as I work in a grocery store but I’m not walking around like I could be so I’m trying to incorporate workouts. I have a Gazelle and haven’t been using it because Ive been above the 300lb weight limit. It was great for my knees as its low impact.
Last night I went for a walk. During the walk I got a sudden burst of energy and started to jog. I had my headphones on so I didn’t hear the sounds I was making but in between songs switching there’s a small silence…and I heard everything flapping around. In my head all I could think about was all the people I just ran past sitting on the bus stop who heard it and what they thought. I told my boyfriend and he said “That would be my motivation to keep running til nothing flapped.”
This morning I got up and took my yoga mat to the park. It felt so good being outside in nature. I missed being out there. Haven’t been out much this summer with the 100+ temperatures in Arizona. Tonight I’m going to try to go for another walk/run or at least get on my Gazelle.

This morning we had an uncomfortable conversation about how he was “thinking about death” because of his health. He seemed like he was genuinely talking like he wanted to make a change. He’s not ready to do keto but will consider low carb & cutting out sodas and smoking cigars.
I made breakfast this morning since we’re both off today. Breakfast scramble that we put in low carb street taco tortillas for breakfast tacos. I made it the way I can eat it (Sausage, bacon, eggs & cheese) and because TJ says he needs a “filler” I cut up a yellow potato and added it to his half.
I wasn’t going to eat my scrambled with tortillas because they do fill me up more than I need but I ate 2/4 & put my fork down because I’m learning to recognize the start of “feeling full” before I get too full and unable to move comfortably, he looked over and asked “Are you going to finish that?” I was shocked. I thought I gave him plenty of food on his plate with his 6 tortillas.
On the plus side, I can cut my calories for breakfast in half since I didn’t get to finish. I may have to do the “drink water before you eat a meal” and “wait 20 minutes and see if you’re still hungry before seconds” trick but I’m definitely not going to be forcing him to make better choices. I’m too busy trying to keep myself focused.

Yesterday was a great day for me. I kept busy and didn’t overeat/pig out like I do when I get bored. I got up about 6 am and moved around til about 1 when we had lunch. I made a wrap with lavash bread. I was going to take half of it to work for lunch today & even though my boyfriend isn’t actively trying as hard as I am, I decided to give him the other half. I had mine with some Flamin hot Pork Rinds (trying to cut out hot cheetos) on the side and he ate his with Pringles. First a can of Sour Cream and Cheddar. Then a can of Cheddar Cheese. Usually I say something but I’m tired. I let him make that choice and last night he was so miserable he couldn’t get comfortable because he said he felt like a bunch of grease was in his stomach. It wasn’t instant regret, but he regretted it nonetheless. I loved how he said “I’m never doing that again.”, when I’ve seen him do it times before. I guess we’ll see.
