I joined this community a month or two ago. I then read one of the girls stating that they are gaining weight because it is Shark Week. I thought to myself that she must be working for the Sharks Rugby Union and they must be having some promotion going on and she must be attending a lot of functions with eats (my late father called them Heartburn Bites/Sooibrandhappies). A few days later another girl mentioned Shark Week. Then another one. Then another one. I thought to myself, jeepers, the girls who work for the Sharks are a health conscious bunch. I have only realized what is going on today when yet another girl mentioned Shark Week, and I thought to myself, no way, not another one. And it must be Shark Month not Shark Week after all this time. Google helped me see the light. Doofus Ignoramus. All my love and respect to all the girls in Shark Week. Stay strong!

There is a lot of conflicting information out there regarding fitness and health. One example is water. My prescribed water intake varies between 2 and 6 liters per day. Every expert sounds convincing. No wonder there are so many people who attempt to profit out of this industry. What would be a good target for a 45 yo male, 100 kg, wants to maintain muscle and reduce body fat, does a little weights and cardio every day, does a lot of cardio and weights weekends, calorie intake varies between 2000 and 3000 a day calorie output varies between 3500 and 4500 per day.

According to the standard BMI test which only takes your age gender and height into consideration the last weight in which I am normal is 87kg. At 88kg I am overweight. So 87kg is my goal. I am currently 100kg. I had my body fat percentage tested today for the first time and it is 13.2%. So if I lose all the fat I will weigh 87kg with 0% body fat, which I presume is not only medically dangerous but also for all practical purposes impossible. So I think my ideal weight according to the BMI is not 87kg as per the standard test but something a bit higher? Or what am I missing here?
