So nice to hear from you again. It’s tough to have gone through what you did and not come out unscathed. Hang in there and you will get your mojo back. We are all here for you - cheering you on. Hugs to you!

Oh wow HI Erika! So good to see you! Will the headaches decrease eventually? I'm so sorry that happened. I know what you mean about working so hard and gaining the weight back. My Mom passed last year and I gained a bunch of my weight loss back and then finally came back here. Just put a stake in the ground and do what you can.

Gentle hugs and support. And remember, you have not lost the really important thing - the knowledge that you can do it again, since you did it once! Welcome back!

Setbacks are awful, no matter the cause. Sorry you went thru that. Take it slow and be consistent. Take care of yourself!

you're lucky you can still walk and move. my mom fell and her traumatic brain injury caused permanent abnormal brain activity which effects her balance, limb movement and memory. she was 100% dependant before her fall in august, now she needs help walking to a commode by her bed. and the stress and lack of sleep I have taking care of her resulted in me gaining 20 lbs in 6 months! (she lost weight.). think positive, be thankful you can still move and improve. you have the ability to overcome this, albeit slowly. give yourself realistic goals. in the past, I've lost 12 lbs in a week, but that's not realistic now. I gained 2-3 lbs per month, so if I lose any weight and not gain, I'm winning. it's harder to lose weight when you have stress in your life and new challenges. just remember any positive life changes you can make, you're winning. good luck! :)

Its not a set back. You have been through a lot thus its a new beginning! A new beginning with the firm knowledge that you can progress to where you want to be. As Melanie said, you can do this, just take it one day at a time.

My son had a concussion two years ago during a hockey practice. It ended up being a long-term resolution. During this time, he gained a lot of weight, which is normal for a concussion. He has also had headaches, and was affected for a year, especially when noise, confusion around him occurred, and deep concentration was required in school. His best healing came from deep rest, which only happened after he was prescribed cyproheptadine, used to help sleep and rest the brain. It is a powerful antihistamine. Good luck!

You're not alone in this. When I was at my lightest I had a major shoulder injury. It's been 2 years now and I'm still not 100%. I had to relearn how to use my right arm and I'm right handed. I gained back 40+ lbs and was almost back to where I started. I know how discouraging it is, but your physical well being is more important than the number on the scale. You'll get back to where you were.
