Well its a beautiful morning today. I have lost a pound after only one day of my low carb diet. I am not jumping around though because I know how effective a low carb diet is in reducing water gain.
Previously, I once lost five pounds in three days on a strict Atkins diet. But I know that these five pounds were probably mostly fluid loss because none of my clothes felt looser.
I am following a low carb diet. The only one I read up on was the Atkins diet but I found it too restrictive in the initial stage. So basically, my personal low carb diet means eliminating all starchy products only, not certain fruits and veggies.
I am also making a point of only eating every three hours and keeping an eye on my watch so that I dont eat before then. Whenever I felt hungry in between, I would drink water. Funnily, I felt constantly thirsty anyway. I did cheat a little here and there with cheese strips but I am not too worried because cheese is ok.
In addition to my diet, I finally got my lazy butt off the sofa and actually used the treadmill I forced my husband to get me a couple of months ago.
I managed to walk for 45 mins with an incline 6. I walked 1.8 miles and burnt 282 calories. The exercise diary doesnt let you create your own entry so the entry I submitted was the closest to the actual calories burned.
