** THE MIRACLE CURE FOR LOSING BODY FAT **
Here's a bit on "highly-thermic" foods:
https://www.muscleforlife.com/thermic-effect-of-food/
Does it exist?
We've all seen the Weight-Watchers or Jenny Craig ads on TV that make statements like:
"Lose 20lbs in your first few weeks, guaranteed"
"Our meals are specifically designed to burn stubborn belly fat"
Well, you're probably not gonna like what comes next... FAT LOSS TAKES TIME, PATIENCE, AND DISCIPLINE. That's it. Period. Eating less calories than you burn over time will ultimately slim your body down.
Soooooo, long story short, there is no quick solution. There is no one diet that targets fat loss better than another. There's only the one that makes you feel comfy with foods you like to prevent you from quitting or jumping into a newer, shiny one with a larger fan-base after a few months.
There are some WoEs that will initially decrease water weight rapidly, but fat just takes awhile.
HOWEVER, you can speed up the process by increasing your activity level and increasing your energy levels from smaller amounts of the right foods.
If you're still here and haven't burned through a whole bottle of antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds, keep reading... it gets better!
If you have a sedentary job/lifestyle, what you eat will not get you to lose fat faster than an active person. It's the hard reality of it. You have the power to change that if you choose though.
But regarding food, you also have power and control should you choose to engage it!
Focus on the goal. If you set fat loss as an extremely high priority, and knew it would come quickly, you'd do whatever it takes, right? So what's the problem?
TIME.
We just can't know for sure when we will reach our goal. Months? Years? We want it NOW! That impatience coupled with a stall in progress is a recipe for a quit.
The end seems so far off, so we question even starting/continuing.
So, how to break this mentality? Pick a WoE that doesn't deprive you of foods you love and nearly torture you, but eat smaller portions.
If you have fat to lose, increase your protein levels. Its proven THERMIC EFFECT has been known to keep your metabolism running (not necessarily sped up) which will burn more calories overall. Also, increasing carbs a little will give you energy.
