Really expected a loss. It felt like it. 😔

weight gain doesn't mean anything really. there is a huge difference between fat loss and weight loss. weight fluctuations happen - hourly, daily, weekly... because of water, hormones, response to food, reaction to stress etc. fat loss happens over time regardless of the fluctuations. Fat cells store triglycerides, which when you lose weight, the cell fills up with water to maintain its size. over a period of days, the fat cell carrying the water slowly breaks down resulting in another loss on the scale. fat loss is the overall downwards slope on your graph, but the daily peaks and valleys are your bodies way of working through it all. so don't get discouraged. it's all part of the process. helps to read up on weight loss Vs fat loss... it really helped me make a lot of peace with seeing increased numbers on my scale.

Also, use a measuring tape. While the scale might not be moving in the right direction, even half a cm lost around the waist or thighs will keep you smiling 😊

Don’t be discouraged by the scale because you could be building muscle which weighs more than fat. Taking measurements of your legs, arms, hips, waist and bust is a better reflection of your real progress 🙌 keep going! 🔥

Don’t worry could still be a loss.... weigh yourself the following day or so and see if there’s a shift. Weight is crazy like that. For example a day after a 20km run I will put on 2kg and t’en two days later dropped 3.... all it was was water retention etc...bodies are magical like that. The main thing is not to be discouraged and go straight to food for comfort saying “I guess I might as well be eating since I’m not losing anything”.... I’ve done that and I’m sure a lot of people on here have too. It’s ok you got this!

@carmen to load a recipe you need to go to your food diary, go to the search area where you add food - recipes are the last set of search options... Once you've set your recipe up, you can add to your diary and it adjusts the portion size depending on how you set it up.
