My first week back at tracking has not gone completely to plan as we had some good news on Wednesday. My UK Spouse Visa was approved so celebrations ensued including sharing a slice of lemon meringue at Mugg & Bean and quite a bit of wine that evening. The day was way over in calories, but such is life... Still so much uncertainly right now, but it is at least a step forward on a journey that started over two years ago already. It's tough being slightly in limbo, but things should have progressed quite a bit in the next 3 months so I'm just hoping to take it all in my stride and not get too stressed about things. I am trying to reel my calories back in for the rest of the week and still stick to my planned 1850 daily average, but I'm not sure I'll make it. As it will probably be over this week I think I'll try to do it properly next week and see what happens before adjusting again. Either way I think this 2kg increase is not too bad since I weighed a kilo more last week, when I didn't record, so that's fine. This week I was aiming for 180 minutes of exercise and did a total of 130min YouTube dumbbell workouts and 60min walking/cardio workouts so I'm happy with the 190min total. Will try to keep that going. Have a great weekend everyone!

ok. first off. M&B lemon meringue is like the cake version of the sound of a baby giggling!!!
I am sooooooo excited for your news. I completely get the limbo because our Irish emigration plans are also on hold (frikkin covid throwing spanners in everyone's lives)
so so happy for you seeing some progress on that front!!!

Great discription shereen. There are cakes that I can also liken to other things but it's too explicit for this app. So I'll just 🤫🤐

Yup, great description, Shereen! I actually love that chunky biscuit base they have too - or it would be just too sweet for words. And coffee is necessary to cut the sweetness as well, but it was divine! Hope your plans progress as well - hopefully all in good time! A lot of patience is needed.

Yes, we should be flying within the next three months, Chestnut63. First time back in 16 years, but looking forward to it! Starting off in Bournemouth to visit family and then probably on to Derbyshire at some point.

Nikina if you decide to visit Worthing it is not very interesting , but we do have good communication links with London and nice walks along the seafront from the pier Eastwards🚶♂️🚶♀️

Thanks Chestnut! We would love to be near the sea, but don't think we can afford it at this stage. Will probably visit Brighton and Eastbourne at some point though, when restrictions are lifted, and then might pass through Worthing as well. I'm sure it's a lovely walk along the seafront!

Glad to hear that, Jontyboy! We've been doing some research and we're looking forward to exploring the area - nice that it's so close to the Lake District as well.

My husband tells me it's near the Peak District, not the Lake District so I had it wrong. Great countryside 👍👍👍

Thanks so much LC! Just curious - how do you know Mugg & Bean? Have you been to RSA before? I will indeed miss their amazing cake slices, muffins and scones - perfect for sharing.

Megan, I'm sorry to hear that your husband had to go ahead of you - that must be so tough! One good thing was that once I applied it was meant to take 12 weeks and I heard back just after 8 weeks so hopefully yours will go quickly too. Good luck!

Nikina, yes, I'm from the the same part of the world, so I've been to RSA several times. It's been a long time though.
