So for about 2 weeks I had to pause my afternoon workouts to take driving lessons so I can get my license. I waited too long and now I'm getting on it. However, I work overtime due to my job being understaffed. I get paid time and a half but work 6 days straight. I usually go on the elliptical for 2 hours after work but now that time is dedicated to driving around parking lots and parks and neighborhoods. Even though I am somewhat active as a dishwasher in a kitchen, I feel like I'm not burning enough calories a day even if by walking to and from work (I live a 30 minute walk away from my job). So for now, I am focusing on limiting calories and eating low calorie foods. Being in a kitchen it's tempting not to eat sweets and greasy stuff.

Yesterday was an exception since it was Mother's Day and I paid for pizza with the family. At work, I still eat a bag of chips or a scoop of ice cream. I log it into my food diary every time I eat something. After lunch and dinner, the cooks leave out the leftovers for the staff to eat. Before my weight loss journey I would take as much as I wanted but now I limit it to one scoop or one small piece. I still have trouble with carbs. I can't just give it up easily. I try to limit it but I eat one small dinner roll or one small scoop of pasta and I feel guilty. I'm aiming to eat just one small portion of carbs a day. If I eat a small cup of rice, then no bread or pasta for the rest of the day and vice versa. If I go against that rule and eat multiple foods with carbs I feel bad. They always say I can try again tomorrow but that just means it gonna take an extra day to reach my goal and if those days keep piling up, it's gonna push me so far back I'll be right where I started.

I try to keep a positive attitude. Just cause I haven't worked out in a couple weeks doesn't mean I should give up on dieting. I need to stop saying "try". I WILL commit to my dieting plan. Limit Carbs, Small Portions, No Snacks or Desserts. The only goal I'm perfect with is no soda. 3 months strong without a single drop. Water only. Sometimes coffee and tea although I do go overboard with cream and sugar and I usually go with sweet tea. I just hope I don't gain any more pounds until I get back on the elliptical.
