Journal de Organized Chaos, 10 juin 21

Day 10! Slightly up.. but I have still lost a total of 5 lbs in 10 days so I'm not complaining.

I'm totally weighing in every 5 days because I'm a wackadoo and weighing in every 7 days does something to my OCD. I don't know why I don't like it. I just don't. I also don't have the patience to wait 7 days. My patience will only last 5 days.

I'm not entirely surprised by the slight uptick.

One: losing 6 lbs in a week had me questioning whether my years of torturing the darn thing by jumping on it regularly had terrified the poor scale. Scale, "Crap she's serious this time! She wants results! What do we tell her?!?!?! 5 lbs?? 5 isn't enough! Go with 10! She won't believe 10. She will throw us away!! We don't match any of the other bathroom decor as it is! Go with 6 then! OK 6!!"

Two: My eating yesterday was all over the place. I didn't have time between work and a t-ball game for dinner so I ended up eating half a cow between homework and bedtime. Pretty sure that cow is still there. It's 11:30 and I'm only now realizing I didn't eat breakfast. I may have a 1 lb meatbaby at this point.

Three: The initial shock of eating better confused my inner fat chick so much she is still stumbling around looking for the fitness truck that just ran her over.

BUT there are some positive things that I am seeing. I get up at 6 or maybe a little before 6 if I get up before my alarm with energy. Shocker is getting up before my alarm without the assistance of a tiny human or critter. I'm not stumbling down the hallway to put my face under the coffee machine in an attempt to wake myself up so I don't drown in the shower. Also, my face doesn't look as fluffy. It's still fluffy. It's just less fluffy. Also mirrors.. I'm noticing mirrors. Mostly because I keep peering into them so I can see what I look like. Before this I would avoid them with the theory that if I assume I look fine then I probably look fine. I also have a theory about eye contact. If I don't make eye contact with you then you cannot see me. If I am in my yard mowing the lawn in yoga pants and an old tank top with my phone tucked into my bra and I did not make eye contact with you well then you did not see this.
