Slept 8hrs last night, To bed 130am. To sleep 145am. Awake 1000am.
Blood pressure upon awaking 125/73 53 pulse irreg.

On Sunday I stopped at side of road to get free apples in a wheelbarrow. An elderly couple had been picking all morning and pruning branches and had way too many apples to preserve. Today I did food prep on them.

APPLES: I left peels on for more flavour and fibre, but I washed, cored and sliced them. Blanched them in water and lemon juice for a few minutes, cooled them on cookie sheets, and quick froze them. Then put them loose in 14 - 250g freezer bags.

I will use them instead of sugar when I need to sweeten a recipe, similar to the grated carrots I froze before. Also they will be good as a quick dessert with cinnamon, chopped nuts, and yogurt.

This evening I went down to the beach to watch the sunset with my visiting sister, niece & parents. It was a lovely Aug 1 holiday. My sister pulled me aside to say she sees a improvement in the way I am walking and that my stomach & butt are flatter.

After we went back to my parents home and had tea. Everyone had cheese biscuits, with jam, crackers & cheese, and sweets. I resisted! I just had a nice cup of black tea. I felt very good, as I knew I had a 'better for me' snack at home. At home I had a snack of 1 ryecrisp & 1 oat cracker with peanut butter & unsweetened blueberry jam.
