I got some news yesterday that just ripped me open. It's difficult to know that my ex has a new lover or lovers. But that she told me she wanted a friendship, and then gaslight me during family therapy is just too much. I feel more than angry. I get that I was in an abusive marriage so this shouldn't have surprised me. But she didn't just promise me; she vowed to her daughter to her face no less that she would never do drugs again. There's nothing legally I can do about this, and the stress of the news just sapped my appetite.
I'll talk to my more neutral friends and my therapist. The family therapist said she wouldn't see us until my ex was in a position to apologize to our daughter for breaking her word... if that ever could happen. We'll see what my therapist says.
