8 kgs is my goal too, it's a tricky kind of weight to get rid of. It will be emotionally demanding, prepare yourself for that! Of course you're a man which makes it easier that it is for me, and with a turn to OMAD you'd see wonders!

Welcome! I too, started by simply counting calories and logging my food intake...every last bite 📝 It got much easier when I started using a food scale and measuring cups. I also try to incorporate fruits & veggies into every meal/snack. Best of luck to you on this journey to a healthier you!!👍💪🙋♀️

Maybe I'm just the weirdo who likes vegetables, but changing what you eat doesn't mean you can't enjoy tasty food. 😋 You may end up developing different tastes more in line with your health goals. Welcome!

A food journal, and calorie counting is a good start for sure. Something else that is pretty easy to do, and always works for me, is carb cycling. Always eat 4-5 ounces of protein paired with some sort of vegetable, but then occasionally (one of your 3 meals) add in a healthy carb (like beans or sweet potato).
I you like carbs you can try doing the opposite too (2 meals with a carb (trying to limit your fats in those meals)) and then one meal higher in fat, but no carbs.
Best of luck!

dietdoctor.com has lots of good recipes and also a wide choice of what kind of eating plan to follow. I find it useful to follow that site as well as fatsecret.com

Something similar happened to me. I became lactose intolerant out if the blue! Never had a problem with dairy or whey before but now can't have it. I can handle a small amount of parm cheese and liquid protein shakes are ok in small amounts. It's weird! Be careful with nuts though. Dairy just gives me stomach issues but nuts can cause much more serious effects.
Your puppy is adorable BTW!

Same thing here ... like a food allergy reaction caused by toxic living environment - and had to make a huge life change including a relocation. It is touch and go about what you can or cannot consume without any body reaction...you will figure it out. Other then that - I am back to eating most everything now - but still have to watch not to over consume wheat or grains. Without allergic reaction - you can eat any foods and loss weight - it is all about staying in your calorie zone - meeting your macros - careful portion control - and drink your water. Many of us barely lifted a foot - other walking slow and you can loss weight without exercise. Use the Food Planner and Exercise Activity log --- Log everything. Good luck. Nice puppies. We all like puppies.
