I got home late last night after a weeks vacation. Up 4 pounds. Getting back on track today has been hard. Just try to take one day at a time. I know that I will feel less tired with a few days of eating better. Do you feel better when you eat healthier? For me it is a nice non-scale victory.

@misgiedawn2: I'm sure that I SHOULD feel better when I eat better, but I'm not certain that I notice a change. What I DID NOTICE- LEG CRAMPs BAD! The last 2 nights every hour on the hour! And only one stretch of 3 hours of straight sleep. Last night, I was in TEARS - literally crying! I couldn't make it stop and both legs - SO cramped! I'm certain that it's some type of deficiency, but I'm not sure what I'm missing....
I take extra potassium. I take electrolytes. I drink over a gallon of water every day. I take a bunch of other supplements. Over the past year and a half, these cramps have improved greatly! And then I have had 2 bad nights in a row....... do you know anything about nighttime leg cramps?

3dkids- consider a magnesium spray or lotion such as theraworks when the cramps occur. You can also apply it before bedtime which may decrease the occurrence. I wonder if the recent changes to your diet has lead to a subtle shift in your electrolytes that you are sensitive to resulting in cramps. Have you also had a recent change in your activity? As this can co tribute to cramps as well.

I do take Magnesium for muscle health, but I have not heard of a cream or a spray. Might be worth a try.
I don't think it's a dietary change - other than eating more sweets. Maybe an activity issue... ? Hard to know because I have suffers from them for more than a decade.... maybe even 15 years? I've tried lots of different stuff! The spasms have decreased since I have lost weight, but they are NOT GONE - OH NO! They are not gone!

Wear compression socks to bed— have you seen a doctor for this? I assume you have if you have had them for this length of time. Just have to make sure it’s not a true vascular problem of some type. You don’t need anything super strong— something in the 8-15 mm range. Would be good to try. I recommend the open toed ones made by Trueform.
