well im noticing a pattern with muscle mass. i have a hard time with consistency and weight lifting. its been 7 days since we lifted and my muscle mass steadily drops after 3 days post exercise. I know 48 hrs is the max time for muscle recovery so i gotta use this info to our benefit- Husband has been gaining weight with midnight shift as a state officer. Any tips for the graveyard shift and preventing weight gain?

I worked the night shift for about 3 years and lost weight. You have to set regular meal times if possible and abide by them. Focus on protein and never eat carbs without it. Focus on whole foods - lean meat, fish, eggs, beans, 100% whole grains, healthy fats, low fat dairy, fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds,soups, salads, etc. Avoid processed stuff, vending machines, sugary snacks, sugary drinks, caffeine. Drink lots of water. Get sleep and exercise in.
