Happy new years my beautiful ladies! I love and miss y’all, too. I’m figuring it out. Slowly but surely creating a new pattern/schedule♥️ I love you ladies so much 🥰

Anna did you get hit with those crazy winds last night and today? We lost power  

Yes! It was insane! It woke me up, but knocked our window fan down before I could grab it and close the window. I just watched for a bit while I prayed. It woke both the kids up, too. Lil Miss came in with her kitty, Mr. Cookies, in one arm and a stuffy in the other wanting to snuggle because it scared her awake. The lights flickered, but we never lost power. Lots of huge debris though!  

YoH, has your power been restored yet?  

Annamommy, Yes it got restored and pse sent me a text saying it was out due to “error”😂. Whatever that means. We are down by lake Tapps. Where are you? I thought for a bit we were going to get flooding the way the rain was coming down and the wind pushing it in the road. Lil miss!!! Good thing she has you and Mr cookies to help with the scaries🥰 

I’m near in the Kent area/Maple Valley area 🥰 not far at all. That is a really weird reason for the power being out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that one! Lol, my goodness! But I’m glad it was restored and no flooding! I love a good thunder storm, not the biggest fan of wind storms…😬 

Right there with you Anna. I grew up in maple valley. Used to ride my horse on HWY 18 from the junior high at the top of the hill down to shadow lake elementary school in the summertime where i worked. As a parent i am appalled at the danger i put myself (and horse) in. It was much more rural back then. Late 70’s early 80’s. 

YoH, yeah, that’s what I’ve heard, that there were so many more trees than now. I’m near Costco and when we bought our house a little more than 10 years ago, our neighbors told us how none of it used to be there, just trees. It’s crazy. Now they’ve been talking about turning the area we live into something similar to Kent Station. 

Costco by Covington? I hate all the construction. Where does the wildlife get to go. I never used to see so many raccoons on the road. Hearwrenching. And the infrastructure was never planned for such a population explosion so the traffic yeesh dont get me started. I hadn’t heard they were going to do that. Black diamond has been exploding last few years also.
