The benefits of working out when you're diagnosed with 3 different debilitating diseases.

I'm 62 years old and 5 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure along with an enlarged heart at that present time my ejection fraction was at 20% meaning I was only receiving 20% oxygenated blood flow running throughout my body.

Exercising when you have heart failure can lead to a reduced risk of being hospitalized if you keep your body moving it will help your muscles and lungs work better which in turn puts less strain on your heart.

It's now been 4 years since I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease.

Can you still build muscle with CKD?

In CKD patients with sarcopenia increasing protein intake alone without exercising may have limited effect the combination of an exercise program and an increased in protein intake is effective at improving muscle muscle mass and muscle strength in sarcopenic CKD.

In October of 2023 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

If you have diabetes being active makes your body more sensitive to insulin the hormone that allows cells in your body to use blood sugar for energy which helps manage your diabetes physical activity helps control blood sugar levels.

By simply getting involved with the science of being diagnosed with 3 different debilitating diseases has been a contributing factor in upgrading my life along with improving my cardiovascular health gains!

Now 5 1/2 years later my EF has improved from 20% - 45% as well as my kidneys!

This morning I workout my legs I did leg extensions hip thrusters leg curls squats and push pull sled

I feel so good after a workout I wonder why people avoid exercising.

I'm also a 22 year blood cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma also known as Hodgkin's disease
