So Gastro hit last Monday night, 19/08. I was so excited Tuesday morning when I weighed in and I was below 85. It felt like that .9 had made a difference. My BMI came down to 31.9 and again it felt like I had broken a barrier I was so thrilled, excited even. Fast forward to Thursday morning and it was still going. The excitement had worn off a little. Thursday saw me admitted to emergency and Thursday night saw me admitted to the ward. It’s now Saturday and they’ve got me on a clear fluids diet. I just had a cup of black tea a small tub of orange jelly and an orange juice for breakfast and that’s pretty much the same for most meals, occasionally I get an extra juice or some vegetable broth. I’m not hungry which is great but I’m not gonna lie my head says I wonder how long I can string this out for just so I can lose some weight. There is something wrong with my tummy. Don’t get me wrong. I just wonder if I can stay on this clear fluids thing until my weight goes down. And of course I wish I knew what I actually weigh now. It’s funny so many years on and Ed still creeps in even if I’m sick.
