They say that the scale doesn't lie. It reveals my losing battle with temptation last week... of 1 cheat meal becomes 2, of the sweet snacks I couldn't resist. Of the "just one bite" of the maple bar "cake" for my husband's birthday becoming a whole serving. What is most telling of the scale is that while it is my worst critic, it is also my best source for accountability. So while last week was a failure, I'm going use that failure by visualizing the rising number on the scale to resist my other senses of sweet temptation.
