Merry Christmas everyone!!!! Had our Christmas dinner at my sister's last night and I just about fell over when I got home! Not one mess up! I was able to walk away from the triple chocolate cake, apple crisp and cookies!!!!!! I did eat my planned three pieces of sugar free fudge and was quite content with that. My blood sugar was 87 before I left and 86 when I got home. I'm finally on a life long plan that is going to work for me.

I was a little disappointed that my blood sugar was 109 this morning - not sure why but I can live with it!

Good for you. Finding a plan you can live with is key. As for your sugar reading, sometimes just excitement seems to effect my numbers. I just trust the process and move on

Love having a lifestyle that works and can be a lifelong thing! Bs is still good, could’ve just been a little dawn phenomenon. Great job! Merry Christmas! 🎄

Hey Guys, hope all of you are doing great! I just joined this app. I am planning to get down my weight. Right now I am on 246 lbs and I wanna bring it to 206 lbs for a healthier life and to get ready for my sisters marriage. Any guidance how to choose the right food as I believe food is an integral part of weight loss. I am finding it difficult to keep up with schedule and fulfill my calorie count while keeping all the nutrients up. Any suggestions help will be really helpful. I have a daily goal of completing 2000 calories. Minimum Sodium and Sugar, less carbs. Thanks very much in Advance. We can do it!!

It's called the Dawn Effect, and is related to circadian rhythm / hormone production. We all have rising glucose in the morning, but "normal" folks don't notice it.
