I sometimes get like that as well. I would love to hear if you find out what causes it.

Yes, I will. I hope I'm not coming down with something...maybe I need more fat...who knows?! I'm too tired to care right now - I just want to get through the rest of this day and go home!

your calories and carbs are awful low hun - I haven't had issues with energy, but been kind of headachy - heard that happens sometimes on Atkins but I've also been told about the broth or bouillion...its supposed to help. What are you doing for exercise? best of luck to you!

I've been on Atkins for 9 weeks now - Atkins Flu has come and long gone...been feeling really great until about 3:30 yesterday afternoon...I just got a call from my DF - he has the flu. Regular kind. Thanks for the input everyone! Carbs and calories are somewhat low compared to most on the NANY, I suppose, but everyone has different tolerances for carbs and calorie intake. I'm using Atkins '72 version of WOE - it's the only one that works for me. Had to go to zero carbs to go into ketosis and start to see some weight loss, so for me - what I'm eating right now is * a lot of carbs and I'm slowly adding more. Very slowly.

AVOCADOS!!!!! I've had to deal with that over the years and I had a friend who went to the doctor about a similar issue,(light-headedness and no energy)who was also on the atkins-type diet for other reasons. As he was telling my the story and symptoms, I said "have you tried avocados?" he said that was exactly what the doctor said. I also did a iodine/iodide loading...and now take it on a regular basis.. all of the "flu" symptoms went away and a bunch of other little things that I didn't realize were "weighting" me down..headaches, fatigue...things i hadn't noticed before. check it out on the net and ask a your doctor if you think these things may help---if the avocado doesn't...AND they are in season!! so it's the BEST time!!

yup, i eat the avocados every day too. they taste good on eggs, keep me full and are a healthy fat to boot. we have these tiny ones here that are less than 1/4 cup each. i take one to work with my lunch. may have it with pepper or slice it on top of chicken, just depends.

Same thing with me right now. No energy, going to sleep early (crashing early). I'm going to try the chicken broth tomorrow and maybe the avocado. I'm not a huge fan of avocados but if they work I'll manage. Hopefully you won't get the flu DF has, your body may just be fighting it off leaving you tired. Hope you feel better soon.
