Journal de Debbie Cousins, 14 mai 19

Went to the doctor this morning as scheduled. I had to fill out a Depression scale thing, and I was in the WORST category on all but 3 of the questions. My doctor is a Christian, and encouraged me to pray for myself (which I have not been faithful in doing - I pray much more for OTHERS than for myself!) He also DOUBLED the quantity of one of my anti-depressants. On the other two, I am already at the maximum dosage.

He also referred me to a psychiatrist. When I got home, I called and scheduled an appointment with said psychiatrist for June 3rd. The Psychotherapists in that practice do not take the insurance I will have starting June 1st (Medicare Parts A & B and a Part F policy through Humana).

I called the psychotherapist that I WAS seeing until my insurance changed in January, but he doesn't take what I will have either. So, back to square #1 in the counseling department, but meds monitoring is taken care of.

I also went to physical therapy this morning and told my therapist why I had cancelled the past two appointments and that I was still depressed. She had me put my therapy on hold and get a new Rx from my PCP to start again when I am feeling more motivated. I'm going to try to start doing the exercises at HOME, and when I get "regular" at that again, I'll start scheduling appointments.

I've also not been doing well on my food choices today. I DID go buy some spaghetti squash and thawed some sausage to make spaghetti sauce from my big jar of Rao's sauce. I love that stuff, so I'll be able to have that for tomorrow.

Oh, the doctor thought the dizziness might be caused from being dehydrated, since I have not been getting in my water for several weeks! I'll start with the 48 ounces tomorrow and build up to 64oz by the time the Swimsuit Slimdown (SS#2) challenge starts next Monday (5/20).

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes and your prayers. I can still use them, as I'm not back in full swing yet. It will probably take some time for the increased dosage to really take effect, but first thing tomorrow morning, I'm going to try to ACT LIKE it is already working. "Act the way you want to be, and soon you'll be the way you act."

sorry you're not feeling your best lately...a fitness journey is already hard enough without our psychological challenges making it even harder. Just hang in there and don't be so hard on yourself right now...sometimes staying still is better than moving backwards so just try to maintain right now until you feel better <3

hey, you gotta be good to yourself. Take it all one day at a time and give yourself the care you need, you deserve the best. Give yourself the best you can. We get a do over every day, He allows us to rise and see the world any way we want to every morning. I wish the best for you, see the sunshine, feel it in you, light up your eyes with love. Medical Insurance is a big hassle and a joke, it should be easier to get for everyone. It seems that those of us that need it the most are the ones who cant get it. Dehydration is no joke, it caused migraines for me and put me in the ER once. Get your water in every day, you got this. One day ant a time, one step at a time. We are here for you every day.
