I am both scared and excited about the prospect of having my very own car. It will be my third "first car". (DH bought/ traded for 2 different cars before this one that were intended to be my first car. However, at the time both vehicles needed some work and I didn't have my license and then circumstances transpired which made it better to get rid of those vehicles, so this may be the first one I really get to drive.) I've never driven on the road by myself, soon that may change. This is surreal and a bit intimidating. I think it will be less scary and more encouraging/ empowering once I get some experience, but standing before a new milestone has a terrifying/ exhilarating thrill to it that seems oddly monumental for something relatively mundane.
