1st 14/10 intermittent fasting plan today. Took 2 months to go from eating whenever to 12/12. Every 3-4 days i added 15 mins to my fasting window. last week i was approaching 13h 45mins for fasting. Now im here!

Originally, i wanted a widget on my android phone to keep track of when the sun went down, to eat while the sun is up to help with depression and improve sleep. Now its winter, that will be harded to do... Instead, i began tracking how i NATURALLY eat- Morning coffee at 730a... Eat dinner after school by 5/6/7pm. That was my starting point. No pressure? No problem! In time, without resistance, i shortened my eating window by aiming to be done eating 15 mins sooner then the day before. when that was easy after a few days-week, i shortened again. Some days i had a snack outside my eating window, others i guessed when i stopped eating. Its important to let those moments go, and just keep going with your plan.

FitbitPatti- that last message was a roundabout explanation to answer your question. Despite the busy-ness of 2 small kids ,and work, its been effortless. I have no extreme fasting goal, just to stay in my lane and keep improving; keep going until i see a change. I know the great benefits of fasting, but in order to get to those autophagy/cleansing parts, i have to acknowledge that i am HERE! Here being a 14 hr fast realistically is kind of challenging, its in my comfort zone, and im going to keep doing what im doing! I hope this helps you know where to start if you choose to fast!

I fast almost every day from about 5-6 pm till breakfast at 4 am.

Kenna, very nice!! Yikes 4am! my hubby used to have to wake up that early for his work. Morticia, yes. I struggled at first too... Finding a rhythm was the roughest part. It helps to identify what your most consistent meal is. For me, that was breakfast with headstart. Then i planned around that.

Dazy— my body just naturally wakes up at 4 am— and I’m hungry because I don’t often snack at night. So I just get up and eat breakfast and then usually go back to bed and slept till 7. I eat my typical daily lunch before I go to swim, about 11 am and then it’s dinner about 5 and that’s it. Once in a while an ice cream or dessert of some type but not too often.
