I know what you mean. It seems like my ultimate weight goal is forever away, but I have to remind myself that's not true. I am sorry I don't have any ideas to offer for ditching the soda- I've never cared for the stuff, but I can definitely relate about the food preoccupation and binging; I've been there. The two things I know to help with that are distraction and forgiveness. (Not that I implement them well per se, but I know they work.) One day at a time, bit by bit, you will make it if you keep persevering. :)
