Sugar will do that to me every time. In fact, if I have too much I get almost a flu like feeling. It's an addiction. Take care and feel better.

Take some electrolytes - sea salt or supplements. It should help.

Drink more water - you would be surprised at how much water is in high-sugar items.

Yeah sure know that feeling!! The good thing is that it will pass after about a week (each person is different of course). You may feel like you have the flu and you may feel brain foggy too. I know you can get through it. Drink lots of water! Be kind to yourself and don't work out at max while getting through it.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to keep pushing through. Probably going to have some cake tonight for the 5yo's b'day. Just going to keep it light. Definitely drinking the water today! I think I'm 60oz in so far.

@ny_shelly --> The foggy brain is an understatement. This, with about 5 hrs of sleep a night the last few nights, lots of driving, and the mental strain at my job... I'm about 1/2 way to falling over from exhaustion.

@werdnahs --> not on purpose. I'm not one to drift towards a keto diet.. only with the respect to getting rid of processed sugar and flour typically.

I was just curious. I created a membership on fatsecret a bit ago and I'm 'testing the waters', so to speak. Getting a feeling for the atmosphere and the people (bad idea, maybe?).
Regardless, I've had success on a ketogenic diet, so I was wondering if you were perhaps also doing so. It seems to be popular right now. I am down 20 lbs in a little over 3 weeks after cutting out sugar and carbohydrates from my diet - so I empathize with the headaches. They are no fun, and they seem to last forever. I tend to drink water with a store brand electrolyte additive mixed in, and it helps a lot with that.
Anyway, good luck to you- you seem like you're well on your way to meeting your goal.

Werdnahs, I was making an inside joke, most people probably didn't get it. Nice work on cutting the sugars and carbs from your diet, I did the same, it works wonders!

According to my nutritionist brown sugar is good for you. It actually has some health benefits and the body needs sugar to survive. Stay away from white sugar as it's bad for you. Anything that calls for sugar, always use brown, don't go overboard with the sugar. Use small quantities, but yes you can eat sugar and brown sugar tastes way better than white sugar so there's that.
