MIL in town!! That would be my dear Mother-In-Law. So here goes....she only stays Thursday to Monday every October and this will be the real test. She likes to eat out every meal while she is here. So it started today with lunch, as I left for work this morning and ate my regular oatmeal and 1/2 whole wheat bagel, then darted off to work. In the meantime, that left her and my hub to start thinking about lunch and dinner....or rather where we would have them at. I took control of the lunch and got off work early, at noon. I called them to say I will bring lunch. I decided on all beef hotdogs, baked cheetos, and a huge salad. It went well. Lunch for me, is my main meal of the day, so, although hot dogs werent a super wise choice, it went ok, as my breakfast and later dinner were in check. Everyone enjoyed lunch. So, this would only leave dinner later. Everyone decided on Applebees, which I love, since the points values are right there on the WW section of the menu...and I dont look at anything else on the menu-to keep control. So, I decided on a bowl of the onion soup for 3 pts and a small baked potato plain, with the butter/sour cream on the side, so I could have just a little and not go overboard. It went very well, as I was honestly not super hungry with the big lunch we had. I had water and diet pepsi. So all in all ...the day went well. ONE DAY DOWN WITH MY MIL....now for the actual weekend. Two days to go! Tomorrow is my first belly dancing class, which my mom will be joining me and we will prob have a light lunch before or after. My mother in law, hub and kids will be having lunch at the mall and shopping. I write this now...as she is in the kitchen baking choco chip cookies....lovely! Lucky for me....cookies are not my weakness...which takes me back to auntie annes...mmmm...moving on!
So, I will suggest that I cook dinner tomorrow night and see how that goes. If nothing else, I can get a good salad and baked fish or chicken if we go somewhere...I just hate the hassle of monitoring how the restraunts throw butter and oil, etc on everything they touch....so..here's to all you dedicated life/body changers out there! Y'all rock and give me encouragement and inspiration and I love reading the journals and seeing the weighins! Great job...till next time..... cheers! ~jen

and....10 mins after I wrote the above......

Geez....are all MIL's alike??? Mine eats all the time and weighs 96 pounds dripping wet and says stuff like "I wish I could gain weight like you do". And then looks at me from head to toe as if I were some creature. Did my darling adorable hubby actually come from that???? I must laugh....I can really sympathize with you. Just a few more days and I am sure there is a lesson here. The biggest one being "If you have a son - don't ever turn into "HER"!!!
