My name is Maria Fernanda. Since my name is kind of a mouthful everyone calls me Mafer. I am 17 years old and I have battled with my weight almost all my life. My current weight is 125lb, but I am so short (5ft) that I actually look 140. I wish I could be 100lb again as I used to be, but maybe that is an unrealistic goal, so I am settling for 110. I am a very weight-aware person and when I am not at my best I get depressed and become very introvert. My self-esteem depends entirely on how I look. I know that sounds kind of shallow (I am not shallow though). It’s kind of frustrating because I know I can get to my goal because I have done it before. The problem is I never manage to keep the weight off. So that’s why I am here, to loose 15lb (if possible, 20) and keep them off.
