First thing I did when changing my diet was eliminating sugary drinks. you shouldn't be drinking any at all. I haven't had normal coke since January last year. It's pretty hard let's be honest (sugar is like crack cocaine) but you get used to it and find other things to enjoy and even water starts tasting better. coffee and tea becomes more enjoyable over time without sugar (I reduced my sugar bit by bit over time with tea and coffee).
