I'VE REACHED THE TOP OF THE FIRST FOOTHILL!!!!!

I stepped on the scale this morning three times and took the average (225, 225, 224). That's right. The first checkpoint has been reached. Now on to the next one...but I'm keeping the scroll at the bottom of my posts for a few days.

Because of the weekend I had, I wasn't sure I was going to reach it this week. It wasn't that I ate bad necessarily, but I did drink a bit.

The nice weather allowed me to do some yard work on Saturday. The snow is pretty much gone so I raked the salt and dirt off my lawn left by the front-end loader. I was planning on leaving it on the street for the street sweepers, but after seeing how much was there, I decided that I didn't want my curb to look like a$$ that long.

I thought the Big East Tournement Championship game was going to be played at 7:00 and we were planning on dinner at a bar before the comedy show at 10:00. The game was at 9:00 so I DVR'ed the game and we found a really nice restaurant. I had to avert my eyes from every TV in Connecticut!! The comedy show was really good, All three guys literally gave us more than a laugh a minute. I didn't know what to expect, given the tickets were free. I capped off the day by watching the 1st half of the basketball game. One word: Wow!! UConn gained 2 full seeds in the NCAA Tourney with their performance last week. I probably have too much alumni pride because their success really has no direct impact on me. But I paid them $120,000 so I think I own a little piece of the sports team in some small way.

The worst part of the weekend was the lost hour yesterday. I was flipping between the NCAA Selection Show and the Celtics game (6:00), and I felt like it should have been the middle of the afternoon, almost like I had jetlag. Well now it's back to the grind. See you in the Journals and have a great week. Until later: Survive and Advance.

Way to go!! Reaching that first milestone is the toughest, so congrats on sticking to your plan :) You've come a long way!! Reading this just makes me want to clean up my yard, too. I hate this stupid time change...it's throwing everything off! Did you have just as much trouble waking up this morning as I did? Happy Monday!!!

Congrats on reaching your first goal CMR! That is awesome! The UCONN thing though, I will give my props but I won't be happy about it :). PITT fan here lol.

Hi Tubbs. Thanks. Getting up this morning wasn't too bad. I went to bed around 10 and got up a bit before 7 and I was up for an hour during the night. The time change really affected me yesterday because I fell asleep around 1:00am and woke up at around 10:00 (9:00 without the time change). The illusion that I slept in coupled with that where I got nine hours of sleep when I only got eight screwed with me all day. Have a good one!!

Thanks, Tap. You can't be too upset with Pitt's 1 seed. They have a pretty decent path to the Final 4. Good luck to them in the Touney. I still have to do my brackets.

Hey Matt, I'm leaving the blue line up there for a few days, maybe a week. Then I'll post a new goal. I may need to stay around this size for a little while. My clothes don't fit now, I can't imagine how lose they would be with an even lower body mass. I hate clothes shoping, but I need to hit the mall for new pants and belts. I needed new clothes in November too. The difference is I'll buy a size or two lower now instead of the next size up!!! Oh happy days, weight-wise.
