OK so this is my first weigh in after initially joining and I've lost 1 pound. Really I'm pleased with this because I decided to quit smoking at the exact same time that I decided to lose the weight and I've been sick with pneumonia all this week. All and all, any loss is a good thing. I do not plan to starve myself or even deny myself those extravagances every now and again but I am trying to change my day to day habits. I feel like the overall affect will be a gradual drop in weight and a just as gradual rise in health. I mean really, I didn't get this way over night and I certainly will not be back to running track in the near future.

I'm very happy to have found this site though. The tools here are extremely helpful and from what I've seen of the posts, there's a great support group here. I'll try to check in often and hopefully will be sharing some good progress with everyone.
