Ok so, i've made a decision today. Since I have become SO OBSESSED with the scale, I've decided not to weigh myself for awhile. I was starting to weigh myself EVERYDAY, and as soon as I see a 1 or 2 pound gain I completely stress myself out, wanting to give up & then I emotionally binge eat...this has become a pattern and I finally realized it when I did this very thing this past weekend. So I gave myself a pep talk today..when I started losing weight, my reasons were not to look like the models on t.v, not to get a man, not so I can wear revealing clothing or anything stupid like that, it was to LIVE A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE, point blank period, so with that being said i'm not in a big rush to lose weight, I dont even expect myself to get to my goal weight until next summer, so i'm just going to pace myself and focus on whats important which is to live a healthier lifestyle by eating right and exercising, not just to see the numbers drop on the scale. I made up my mind to only weigh in like every 2 to 4 weeks, i think this is going to work better for me, wish me luck! Hope everybody had an awesome productive day :)

I did the same thing when I started out. I kept the scale in my kitchen, and every time I walked past it I just had to weigh my self. I would let it get to me pretty bad when it didn't reflect the numbers I wanted to see. Some days I just lost all motivation. So I just weigh my self once a week on Mondays, and that has worked for me. You will get to your goal just stay motivated. Don't let the numbers get to you. GOOD LUCK!!

Last year we called a scale strike for the many of the reasons you mentioned. No one was to get on the scale for 2 weeks and most of did ok. But what we found out was the scale was a necessary device in weight loss. You really need to see at least once a where we stand and for me I get on the scale maybe twice a week to see if I'm on track or do I have to modify my diet and exercise routine. But here's the catch; I don't have a scale at home I use the on at my gym cause I know i'lll hop on it 100 times a day lol. And I know it would change my mood to so I do that keep myself sane. Finally you have the right outlook on this because its a lifestyle change, not a race to your idea weight and what I've found out is no matter how much dieting and exercising you do, your body is going to burn fat when it wants to lol. But it will but fat eventually so hang in there, as we all are.
